Swarg Vatika launches several eco-friendly facilities.
Hyderabad: Swarg Vatika at RTC Colony, Trimulgherry, an initiative of Swarg Vatika Trust on Sunday launched several new eco-friendly facilities including a medical centre, dedicated rooftop solar plant, LPG-based crematorium and a Gowcast manufacturing facility.
The new medical centre offers diagnostic, dental, physiotherapy, ENT services, and generic medicines at nearly 30 per cent lower than present market rates, aimed at benefiting middle-class and underprivileged families. The two rooftop solar power plants will provide 100 percent green energy needs of the crematorium.
The Trust uses Gowcast, an eco-friendly alternative, made from cow dung, for cremation. The Gowcast adoption helps conserve trees and promote sustainable practices for a greener future. Traditionally, cremating a single body requires approximately two fully grown trees, but Gowcast significantly reduces wood consumption, protecting the environment, the Trust said.
A dedicated online platform was also launched on Sunday that will provide real-time updates, facilitate digital memorials, and offer seamless access to funeral services.
The new facilities were launched by National Covid warrior, Jitender Singh Shunty, MLA Cantonment, N Sri Ganesh, CEO, Cantonment Board, Madhuka Naik in the presence of president of Swarg Vatika Trust, Surender Pal Singh, General Secretary, Ranjan Sood and others.
