Hyderabad welcomes rains as low pressure area triggers widespread showers in Telangana
After a month-long dry spell, the monsoon revived over Hyderabad and Telangana, bringing widespread moderate rainfall. The showers, triggered by a low-pressure area, offered relief from heat and are expected to support farming activities across the State.

Hyderabad: After an almost month-long pause, monsoons have revived in Hyderabad and surrounding districts, bringing moderate showers on Monday night.
Almost all the districts of Telangana too have received a considerable amount of showers, thanks to a Low Pressure Area.
The impact of the rainfall was widespread, as almost all the weather stations of Telangana Development Planning Society (TSDPS) have recorded anywhere between 15 mm and 27 mm of rainfall, which falls under the moderate rainfall category.
The maximum rainfall in the city was around 27 mm with BHEL Factory, Ramachandrapuram (27.3 mm), Tolichowki, Karwan (26. 4 mm), Musheerabad, MCH Building, (24.8 mm), Mahadevpura, Gajularamaram in Quthbullapur (25.5) mm and Jubilee Hills Shaikpet area (24.5 mm).
In districts, Wargal in Siddipet recorded the maximum of 63.3 mm of rainfall followed by Dandepally in Mancherial district, which recorded a maximum of 61.5 mm.
Gummadidala mandal of Sangareddy recorded 58.8 mm, Medchal (Bandamadharam), Medchal-Malkajgiri recorded 56.3 mm, Islampur region in Tupran mandal, Medak district, recorded 51.3 mm followed by Andol, Sangareddy, which received 51 mm of rainfall and Thungathurthi mandal in Suryapet that recorded a maximum rainfall of 50 mm.
