Hyderabad: Wife, lover arrested for slitting husband’s throat and stabbing him to death
The police reported that Yadaiah, a construction worker, and his wife Mounika, who lived in Farooqnagar, Shadnagar, had been married for about eight years. The couple frequently argued over minor issues, and Yadaiah developed an alcohol addiction. During this time, Mounika grew closer to Ashok Kumar, a worker in a manufacturing unit, and eventually began an affair with him.
Hyderabad: The Shadnagar police solved the murder case of A Yadaiah (32), which had occurred about two months ago, and arrested his wife and her paramour for the killing on Thursday.
According to the police, Yadaiah, a construction worker and his wife Mounika, residents of Farooqnagar in Shadnagar were married about eight years ago. The couple had frequent fights over trivial issues. Subsequently, Yadaiah too was addicted to alcohol. During this, Mounika gradually developed intimacy and slowly began an extra-marital affair with Ashok Kumar, a worker in a manufacturing unit.
With disputes between the couple getting more frequent, Mounika and Ashok decided to kill Yadaiah. She shared the plot with Ashok and he agreed,” police said.
On February 18, after work, Ashok invited Yadaiah for a liquor party. He picked him up and took him to a secluded spot near Gudur in Kothur on the city outskirts, where they slit Yadaiah’s throat and stabbed him to death.
After confirming Yadaiah was dead, they dumped the body in a pit and set it ablaze to disappear the evidence. .
Next day, Mounika staged a drama claiming that her husband who had gone to work did not return. She also lodged a missing complaint. The Shadnagar police booked a case and took up investigation. However, they were clueless until the local villagers informed them that Mounika and Ashok were living together in a house in Ayyappa Colony in Shadnagar.
The duo was detained and they confessed to the killing.
They were produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
