Hyderabad: The condition of Shireesha, who was attacked by her former lover Basawa Raj after she got engaged to another man, continued to be critical on Thursday. She was kept under observation, with a team of doctors attending to her.
Meanwhile, Shireesha’s family from Vikarabad district reached Hyderabad in the morning and visited her at the hospital.
Earlier in the day, the LB Nagar police, who arrested Basawa Raj and booked him for the attempt to murder, produced him before a local court in LB Nagar. The court remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days. He was shifted to the Central Prison at Cherlapally. On Wednesday, Basawa Raj, who bore a grudge against Shireesha after she got engaged to another man, stabbed her multiple times.
