Delhi Public School, Nacharam conducted the online Student Council Elections 2021 to promote a sense of ownership in students. The entire process of elections for the 42 different posts was transparent and unbiased to provide opportunities for the students to participate in the democratic process of planning.
The elections were carried on in three stages. A notice to file online nominations invited about 77 applications. After scrutiny, the selected candidates were called for a group discussion. The final – Interview round was followed by a special assembly where the finalists furnished their candidature on their eligibility. After rigorous campaigning with inviting posters, online voting was conducted on April 26.
The most awaited and anxious event- the result declaration played its colours on 28 April 2021. The names of the White Badgers House Captains and Selected posts were announced by the Principal and the Senior Vice Principal along with the Coordinators. The school works on various student-led projects to provide innumerable opportunities to become impactful leaders.
School Principal Sunitha Rao congratulated the newly elected members and urged them to make a positive impact and be role models. Senior vice-principal Nandita Sunkara expressed her elation on seeing the long associated students emerge as leaders and inspirited them.
The School Head Boy Pradyumna Reddy and Head Girl Sai Shreshta addressed the gathering and vowed their dedication to the school. The entire process was organised by a coherent core election team comprising Anuragini, Manisha supported by the technical team.
