Nirmal/Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy and legislators expressed gratitude to Telangana Chief Minister for granting medical college to Nirmal district and the backward Kumram Bheem Asifabad, which were deprived of the facilities so far, on Monday. Indrakaran Reddy said that Rao responded positively when he brought the requirement to his notice recently and gave the consent. Students of the district would be able to pursue medicine, while the public could avail better quality medical services for free, he added.
Meanwhile, Asifabad MLA Athram Sakku, Sirpur (T) legisaltor Koneru Konappa and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Kova Laxmi thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning medical college to the district. Sakku said that the facility would be a boon to tribals of the district who were forced to depend on neighboring districts during medical emergencies.
Konappa said that the dwellers of remote Bejjur, Chintalamanepalli, Penchikalpet, Dahegaon and other mandals would be able to find better medical services with the advent of the medical institution. He stated that people of the district would be indebted to Rao forever for realizing their long-cherished dream and to irrigate agriculture fields of the segment.
He thank the chief minister for announcing to invite tenders to construct a barrage across Wardha river near Verdhandi village in Koutala mandal soon. Activists of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) celebrated the decision to establish the college by performing ksheerabhisekam to flex posters of Chandrasekhar Rao in Kaghaznagar. They raised slogans, hailing him.
The government’s move to create medical institutions was lauded by professionals, government employees and locals of these two districts. “Citizens of the district can have access to improved medical services at the college and save their family members in case of medical emergencies,” Srikanth, a private employee from Asifabad town opined.
