Intermediate first year student dies by suicide in Adilabad
A 16-year-old intermediate student in Adilabad died by suicide after failing in two subjects. The incident occurred in Danthenpelli village of Utnoor mandal, with police registering a case and initiating an investigation based on a complaint by her mother
Adilabad: An intermediate student died by suicide as she was depressed after failing in the annual examinations of the course at Danthenpelli village in Utnoor mandal on Sunday.
Police said that Jillpelli Soujanya (16), daughter of Narsaiah from the village and studying intermediate first year at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Residential College-Utnoor, took the extreme step by hanging herself from a ceiling fan. She was disheartened after she failed in two subjects of the course.
Police registered a case based on a complaint lodged by Soujanya’s mother. An investigation has been taken up.
