Hyderabad: Private jets and helicopters operator JetSetGo is planning to expand its product offerings by importing more aircrafts and sees Hyderabad as its main hub for stationing these aircrafts. The company currently operates and manages 28 aircrafts and four helicopters and is planning to import six more aircrafts out of which four will be stationed in Hyderabad.
While speaking after displaying their Legacy 600 VT-SFU and Hawker XP 800 VT-POP at the Wings India 2022, JetSetGo founder and CEO Kanika Tekriwal Reddy said, “We have over 30 different jets and helicopters and we have customers ranging from corporates to medical and government to celebrities. In the last one year we have imported seven planes and are planning to import six more planes.”
Kanika, who is married to Aurobindo Pharma wholetime director P Sarath Chandra Reddy, says that Hyderabad is their main hub with six of their jets stationed at the Begumpet airport and in the newly imported planes the company will have four stationed here. The company, according to Kanika, is looking to raise $200 million in the next three months and is currently funded by former cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Puneet Dalmia of Dalmia Group.
On the impact of Covid, Kanika mentioned that there has been renewed interest by customers in using private jets and one of the hottest selling trips is the Hyderabad to Tirupati wherein it does four trips per day. The company has also been instrumental in running many rescue operations during the second wave.
