JNTUH to begin BTech classes and induction program from August 11

The JNTUH announced that BTech first-year classes for the 2025–26 academic year will begin on August 11, 2025. An Induction Program will also be launched the same day to introduce students to university life, academic guidelines, and student support systems.

Hyderabad: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) on Wednesday announced that the BTech first-year classwork for students admitted this year (academic year 2025-26) will commence from August 11, 2025.

In addition, the JNTUH will also begin the induction program for these students on the same date, aimed at familiarising them with the academic environment and university culture, as decided during the 62nd Standing Committee meeting that was held on Wednesday.

“Students are advised to report to their respective colleges for both the induction program and classwork on August 11, 2025. The university appeals to all colleges under its jurisdiction to adhere to the academic calendar. The students are expected to attend all sessions regularly.

The Induction Program will include sessions on academic guidelines, university policies, and student support services. All students are encouraged to actively participate in both academic and extracurricular activities for a holistic learning experience,” JNTUH said in a press release.

The Standing Committee of the JNTUH also decided to conduct Ph.D. entrance exams for all faculties on September 12, 13 and 14, 2025. It was also decided to offer Ph.D admissions to working professionals during the current semester.
