Jubilee Hills bypoll: Polling sluggish in the morning, possibly due to nip in the air
Polling began sluggishly in Jubilee Hills bypolls amid chilly weather, with low voter turnout at several booths. Tension flared at Borabanda’s Booth No. 337 as BRS alleged Congress workers campaigned inside wearing party-symbol T-shirts, prompting a police complaint.

Hyderabad: Polling began on a sluggish note in Jubilee Hills assembly constituency bypolls, possibly due to a slight nip in the air on Tuesday morning. There was sparse line up of voters in many booths, however, political parties activists stationed themselves near the polling booths.
At many places ruling party legislators from other constituencies were reported to be camping and in some places tension escalated as the BRS workers took objections to it. Mild tension prevailed at Booth No. 337 in Borabanda area, where the BRS leaders alleged that some Congress party workers were campaigning while wearing T-shirts resembling the party symbol and displaying serial number 2.
Viewing this as an attempt to influence voters, BRS leaders lodged a complaint with the police on duty at the polling station.
They demanded immediate action, alleging that the Congress workers had violated election rules within the polling premises.
