Kalleda in Warangal records highest rainfall

Warangal/Mahabubabad: Kalleda village in Parvthagiri mandal of Warangal district recorded the State’s highest rainfall of 10.55 cm on Thursday (from 8.30 am Wednesday to 8 am Thursday).
Kesamudram mandal centre of Mahabubabad district received the second highest rainfall of 10.13 cm while Enugallu village in Parvathagiri mandal recorded 9.8 cm rainfall. Redlawada village in Nellikuduru mandal of Warangal district recorded 7.90 cm rainfall while both Warangal (Rural) and Mahabubabad districts received moderate to heavy rainfall on Thursday under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Konkan region of Maharashtra and a trough that had run from the cyclonic circulation to East and Northeast India on Wednesday.
Crops in several parts of Warangal, Mahabubabad and Mulugu district were damaged due to these unseasonal rains causing misery to the farmers.
