Karimnagar: Man found dead in Mallapur canal in Thimmapur mandal, family suspects foul play
A 33-year-old man, Banaka Chand, was found dead in the Mallapur canal in Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday morning. Family members alleged foul play after noticing injuries on the body and demanded that police arrest those responsible.
Karimnagar: A youngster, Banaka Chand (33), was found dead in the Mallapur canal of Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday.
Chand, who had left home on Tuesday, was found dead in the canal on Wednesday morning. After noticing the body in the canal, local residents alerted the police. As there were injuries on the body, family members alleged that someone had killed Chand and dumped the body in the canal. They demanded that the police arrest the accused immediately and ensure stringent punishment.
On receiving information about the incident, the police visited the spot and began an investigation after registering a case. The body was shifted to the Karimnagar district headquarters hospital for postmortem.
