Khammam: Commissioner of Police Vishnu S Warrier would be receiving grievances from the public on a daily basis beginning on Tuesday for the convenience of the people. A statement from the CP here on Monday informed that the district top cop would be interacting with the public, police officials and personnel twice, in the morning and in the evening, on working days.
From 11 am to 9 pm
At present, ‘Praja Divas’ was being held on every Monday to address public grievances. The change in the system was made to be available to people and police staff on all the working days in order to address their issues.
The CP would receive applications from the complainants, who come for resolution of various issues, from 11 am to 5 pm at the office of the Commissioner of Police at Prakash Nagar as well as from 6 pm to 9 pm at the old CP’s Office at the police headquarters in Khammam city.
Warrier said he would speak face to face to the visitors, find out the background of their problem and issue appropriate directions to the concerned police officers to conduct an immediate inquiry and resolve it expeditiously, based on the severity of the issue.
He appealed to the people and police officers to make use of the opportunity made available for visitors with the intention of resolving issues without causing any inconvenience to visitors, who would be coming to police district headquarters.
Similarly, Sub-Inspectors, Inspectors, and Assistant Commissioners were instructed to be available to the public from 3 pm to 5 pm every day. Directions were already issued to the concerned officials a couple of days ago in that connection, he said. The officials were also directed to set up signboards in their respective offices and police stations to inform people about the changes made in the grievance redressal system for their advantage, the CP added.
