Khammam: UKG student dies after pencil pierces throat

A UKG student tragically lost his life in Khammam district after a pencil he was carrying pierced his throat when he accidentally fell while running back to his classroom. Despite being rushed to the local government hospital, doctors declared him dead.

Khammam: A pencil, which a UKG student brought to school for writing, claimed his life in Khammam district on Wednesday.

The deceased six-year-old Vihar was studying in UKG at a private school at Nayakangudem in Kusumanchi mandal. During a break in the afternoon, he went to the toilet; while running towards his classroom he accidentally fell down.

The pencil he was carrying in his hand pierced his throat, leading to severe bleeding. He was immediately rushed to the local government hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the boy’s death.
