HYDERABAD: It cannot get any worse than this. After Socio, Economic, Employment, Political and Caste Survey Cabinet Sub-Committee chairman N Uttam Kumar Reddy shared the survey details on Sunday, his Cabinet colleague Konda Surekha on Tuesday claimed that the survey details were not shared by the government.
Uttam had shared the survey with facts and figures. However, speaking in the Legislative Council on Tuesday, the Forest Minister said the government had not shared any caste-wise population percentage details.
Surekha further claimed the survey information was not leaked into the public domain. She even said that the opposition members’ charges that the BC population percentage had declined was incorrect.
“Not a single paper has got into the public domain. Only the report presented in the Council is genuine and correct,” Surekha said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka claimed the previous government had not officially shared the Samagra Kutumba Survey (SKS) details. It was not shared in the public domain, he said.
Countering his statements, MLC Banda Prakash said it was not wise for the Deputy Chief Minister to charge that SKS details were not shared in the public domain.
The Planning Department comes under the Deputy Chief Minister’s domain and the SKS report ‘Intensive Household Survey’ was uploaded on the MCRHRD website.
All the details, including the methodology adopted, etc, for the survey, were available on the website, the MLC said.
Meanwhile, the government later deleted the SKS report from the MCRHRD website, proof of which was shared by BRS on social media.
