KTR slams Revanth Reddy, says people’s victory is inevitable in Telangana
Accompanied by a delegation of party leaders, he visited former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy, who is currently jailed in connection with the Lagacherla incident
Hyderabad: Coming down heavily on the oppressive regime of the Congress that unfolded in the State with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy becoming law into himself, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday vowed that the people’s victory would be inevitable.
During his visit, Rama Rao interacted with Narender Reddy and offered his support. Later speaking to the media, he lashed out at the Congress government describing it as the most repressive rule the state has ever witnessed.
He compared Revanth Reddy’s governance to the tyrannical rule of Sisupala from mythology, suggesting that just as Sisupala faced consequences for his actions after exceeding his quota of 100 offenses, so too would Revanth Reddy.
He accused Revanth Reddy of using his power to imprison those who oppose him, but he expressed confidence that the ultimate victory would belong to the people, with BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao standing by them.
Condemning the treatment of the 85-year-old former sarpanch Sai Reddy of Kondareddypalli, he attributed his suicide to the humiliation inflicted by the Revanth Reddy brothers. He alleged that the only passage to Sai Reddy’s house was blocked at the behest of the Chief Minister, forcing him to take drastic steps. He asserted that the State had never witnessed such tyrannical rule.
He also highlighted the unrest caused by land scams, illegal arrests, and police raids during the first year of Congress rule. He shared the concerns voiced by Patnam Narender Reddy about the 30 innocent farmers who were imprisoned by Revanth Reddy.
Quoting the former MLA Narender Reddy, he said the major task on hand was to fight for the poor and innocent, noting that while innocent people languish in jails from right from Sangareddy to Cherlapalli prison, tyrants enjoy freedom from Kodangal to Kondareddypalli.
