Hyderabad: A main water pipeline from Singapur to Khanapur reportedly burst at 5 am near Bulkpur village on Monday, disrupting water supply to several areas, HMWSSB officials said in a press release.
The affected areas included Gandipet, Kokapet, Narsingi, Manchirevula, Puppalaguda, Khanapur, Manikonda, and some areas under the Sheikhpet Reservoir command, as well as areas under the Bhojagutta Reservoir command, the officials said.
In the wee hours of Monday, HMWSSB managing director K Ashok Reddy inspected the damaged pipeline site and directed the officials concerned to provide tanker supply to the affected areas. He directed officials to complete the repairs at the earliest and restore the water supply.
