Man caught for selling spurious tea powder in Hyderabad
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Mahender Singh, a resident of Gowliguda in the city and a native of Rajasthan.

Hyderabad: A man who was procuring and selling adulterated tea powder branding as “Red Label tea powder” was caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force on Saturday. The police seized ten bags of the tea powder and two mobile phones all worth Rs. 1.4 lakh from him.
Acting on a tip off, the team caught Mahender Singh, a resident of Gowliguda in the city and a native of Rajasthan. “Mahender purchased the tea powder from one Surender of Rajasthan and supplied it in the market through his local network. He got adulterated tea powder packets from Rajasthan and earned huge profits by locally selling it,” said Gummi Chakravarthy, DCP Task Force.
The police are making efforts to nab Surender who is presently absconding. The arrested person along with the property was handed over to the Afzalgunj police for further action.
