Man tries to end life after accused of committing theft in Telangana’s Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad: A man who was accused of committing theft by his own relatives sustained burns in an alleged suicide bid by self immolation, reportedly unable to bear the stigma of being branded as a thief. This shocking incident was reported from Makula thanda here on Saturday.

Reports said Boda Ramesh was accused of committing a theft in a complaint registered with the police by his relatives. Unable to bear the insult, he locked himself in his house and attempted suicide by immolation. However, neighbours who noticed the smoke billowing out of the house rescued him.
