Mancherial: Government Whip Balka Suman said efforts were being made to develop Mandamarri into a model town in north Telangana. He was speaking at a programme after inaugurating additional classrooms to a Government Model School in Mandamarri on Friday. The cost of the facility was Rs 65 lakh.
Suman, explaining the welfare schemes extended by the government, advised the students to excel in academics. He said that Rs 7,800 crore would be spent for providing better quality education equivalent to corporate level to the poor students with English as medium of instruction. He assured that all schools belonging to Chennur Assembly constituency would be developed in many aspects in the coming two years.
The government whip further said that a Degree College would be established in Mandamarri town soon. He stated that the coal belt town would be made as a hub of education by creating skill development, NACC, junior college and an Industrial Training Institute in the short future. He said that steps were being taken to develop Mandamarri municipality in various facets.
The Chennur legislator stated model schools created by the State government were providing quality education to the students coming from rural parts of Telangana. He said that a dining hall would be built at the school as promised in the past. He, earlier, inspected the facilities being provided to students by visiting different wings of the institution. He later handed over uniforms and T-shirts to the pupils.
District Libraries Corporation chairman Renikuntla Praveen, Mandamarri ZPTC Velpula Ravi and many others were present.
