MANUU begins online admission process
Varsity offers 23 PhD, 21 PG and eight UG programmes
Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), the only Central University providing higher education through Urdu medium, has commenced online admission process for regular mode programmes offered at Hyderabad main campus and satellite campuses at Lucknow and Srinagar, College of Teacher Education, and Polytechnics for the academic year 2021-22.
The Central University is offering 23 PhD, 21 PG and eight Undergraduate programmes in the Schools of Languages, Education, Arts & Social Sciences, Technology, Mass Communication & Journalism, Commerce & Business Management and Sciences. Admissions into all PhD programmes, BTech (Computer Science), M Tech (Computer Science), MCA, MBA, MEd, BEd, DElEd and Polytechnic diplomas are based on entrance tests.
The PhD programmes are being offered in Urdu, English, Hindi, Persian, Translation Studies, Women Studies, Public Administration, Political Science, Social Work, Islamic Studies, History, Economics, Sociology, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Management, Commerce, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science.
The courses under merit-based category include master’s and bachelor’s in Journalism & Mass Communication and PG programmes in Urdu, Hindi, English, Arabic, Persian and Translation Studies, Political Sciences, Public Administration, Women Studies, Economics, History, Islamic Studies, Social Work and Sociology. Both Schools of Languages and Social Sciences offer undergraduate courses too, the MANUU said.
This apart, the School of Commerce & Management runs programmes of M Com and B Com, while School of Sciences offers MSc (Mathematics), BSc (MPC), BSc (MPCs), BSc (ZBC) besides Bachelor of Vocational Courses in Medical Imaging Technology & Medical Laboratory Technology.
To facilitate the entry of Madrassa pass-outs into mainstream education, the MANUU is also offering bridge courses for admissions into undergraduate (B Com/BSc) programmes, the University said, adding that a lateral entry programme is provided into BTech and polytechnics.
For all courses, the medium of instruction and examination will be Urdu only. The last date for submission of online application for entrance-based courses is July 12 whereas the online application for merit-based courses can be submitted till September 4. The last date to apply for part-time programmes is October 15.
