Medak: 7,810 eligible persons to benefit from 2nd phase of sheep distribution

Medak: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivs Yadav on Sunday said that 7,810 persons from Golla and Kurma communities will get sheep units in Medak district under the second phase of the subsidised sheep distribution scheme in the State.
Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag to mark the 75th Independence Day at Integrated Collectorate Complex here, the Minister said the government was taking several measures to improve the livelihood and lifestyle of people who were dependent on caste-based professions. He elaborated various welfare and development schemes undertaken in Medak district. Srinivas Yadav also recalled the sacrifices of people during the country’s independence movement.
Collector S Harish, Superintendent of Police Chandana Deepthi, Zilla Parishad Chairperson R Hymavathi, MLA C Madan Reddy and others were present.
