New student council takes up the mantle
The student council was elected through online voting in which all students of the secondary classes cast their votes on April 26.

Delhi Public School, Nacharam conducted Student Council elections for the academic year 2021-2022. The student council is the formal student–led governing body of the school.
The entire election process began with the filling up of the online nomination form for 36 elected and 16 selected posts which were available on the school’s website. After scrutiny, the shortlisted candidates went through three rigorous rounds of the selection process. A round of group discussion was conducted on April 19 on the virtual platform where all the contestants participated with great enthusiasm. The young aspiring candidates displayed their logical minds and convictions through the process. A panel interview was conducted with the shortlisted candidates on the virtual platform. Speeches were delivered in the assembly by the candidates on April 24 followed by online campaigning and attractive posters. Each candidate shared their manifesto with the voting community of classes IX and X.

School Principal Sunitha Rao declared the names of the Head Boy- Mihir Eshaan, Head Girl- C Sanjana, Deputy Head Boy- Satyarth Sivakumar and Deputy Head Girl- Shaima Fatima. Vice-Principal of Secondary School Surekha Nayani and the coordinators declared the names of the White Badge holders and respective House Captains. The Principal congratulated the council members and urged them to take on their leadership roles with a sense of responsibility and team spirit.
The entire Student Council Election process saw a fruitful culmination on 28 April 2021 with declaration of the results for the coveted council posts amidst jubilations.
