Hyderabad: Students seeking admissions into undergraduate programmes this academic year have two new courses to choose from.

On offer are the four-year integrated BSc BEd and BA BEd courses for which the admission notification has been issued by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

There are a total of 100 seats available in each of these courses, which are being offered by one college — Sree Dattha Brindavan Institute of Teacher Education, Narayanpet.

The college has recently obtained necessary permissions from the National Council for Teacher Education and the government for offering the four-year integrated BEd programmes from the academic year 2021-22.

Admissions into both the courses will be based on merit secured in the intermediate or equivalent examinations, Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test-2021 admissions convener, Prof. P Ramesh Babu said.

Candidates wishing to pursue BSc BEd should have completed intermediate or equivalent in the MPC or BiPC stream, whereas for the BA BEd course the applicants should have passed intermediate or equivalent in MPC, BiPC, CEC or HEC or any other 10 2 qualification group.

Further, candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories should have secured a minimum of 40 per cent of marks (50 per cent for others) in the intermediate or equivalent examinations.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria can register online and upload their certificates for online verification up to December 29. All candidates have to pay non-refundable registration and verification processing fee of Rs 500 for SC/ST and Rs 800 for others.

After verification of the certificates online, a list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the website on December 31. In case of any discrepancies in the verified data, candidates can report the same to the helpline centre or email available on the website.

Seats will be allotted on January 2, 2022, and students who receive seat allotment orders should report to the college for verification of original certificates along with the tuition fee between January 3 and 8.

The classwork will commence on January 10. Further details can be obtained from the official website https://edcetadm.tsche.ac.in/intbed/.
