The accused has been identified as Sonu, a resident of Jakholi village in Kaithal district, according to police. When the police signalled a Creta car to stop, the driver fled through the checkpoint. The police pursued the vehicle, and during the chase, the driver opened fire, injuring a policeman by striking their car, as per a senior police officer.
