Online workshop on MOOCs begins at MANUU
The Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT), MANUU, is conducting the workshop till March 11
Hyderabad: A three-day online workshop on developing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for Urdu medium and Madarsa teachers commenced at IMC, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), here on Tuesday. The Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT), MANUU, is conducting the workshop till March 11.
Inaugurating the workshop, MANUU in-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. SM Rahmatullah said nowadays emphasis was being laid on interdisciplinary education and it was being developed rapidly through MOOCs. Teachers of Urdu medium and Madarsa schools should also make use of it, he added.
MANUU in-charge registrar Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood explained that MOOCs has an international reach that can benefit both teachers and students. CPDUMT director Prof. Mohammed Abdul Sami Siddiqui said more than 700 teachers were participating online in the workshop.
