Hyderabad: As part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, University Industry Interaction Centre organised a mega job mela on December 6. The fair was organised for UG, PG, Diploma, Intermediate and SSC students, a press release said.
About 39 companies from various fields, including software, banking and pharmaceutical, participated at the event. Over 20,000 candidates have enrolled for the job fair, of which about 2,000 received their offer letters on the same day. The Vice Chancellor of JNTUH, Katta Narasimha Reddy, said that the job fair was a unique process that connected and matched the skill set of the candidate to the employment opportunities in micro, small and medium enterprises in the private sector.
The Registrar of JNTUH, Prof M Manzoor Hussain, said that the event facilitated the aspirants to explore the skill sets in-demand and update their skills accordingly. Several officials from the university were present on the occasion.
