Over 650 Group-I candidates seated next to each other secure identical marks: BRS demands judicial probe

Hyderabad: Voicing serious apprehension about the fairness of the Telangana Group I examination results, BRS leader and spokesman Manne Krishank alleged on Saturday that 654 candidates seated next to each other during the examination had secured nearly identical marks.
Comparing the issue to the infamous Vyapam scandal, Krishank called for a judicial inquiry to ensure transparency and accountability. With this being exposed, the integrity of the Group I examination evaluation process has come under question. As the premier state services examination, Group I plays a key role in shaping the State’s administration. Any irregularities in its results would certainly have serious consequences.
A total of 563 posts were notified under this recruitment drive and over 4.03 lakh aspirants had registered for the examination. In all 31,403 candidates had qualified for the Mains examination. The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) published the marks and general ranking list for the Group I Mains examination on March 31.
