Hyderabad: While political parties and candidates are vigorously campaigning for victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election, voter awareness and education programmes under SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) are being intensified across all colonies and colleges in the constituency to uphold the spirit of democracy.

In an official statement, the District Election Officer, RV Karnan stated on Friday that slogans like “My vote, my right, my power… I will definitely vote” are echoing in the colonies. Residents of Jubilee Hills are declaring their commitment to cast their votes in the by-election.

Rallies are being conducted across colonies in the constituency to motivate people to vote. Special arrangements at polling stations for the elderly and differently-abled are being explained to ensure ease of voting. Officials believe that with extensive campaigning, voter turnout this time could surpass previous records, he stated.

“We are raising awareness among the youth and first-time voters about exercising their voting rights. Every vote is valuable. Everyone eligible should cast his or her vote,” said Karnan.
