After assuming charge, Telangana University V-C Prof. Ravinder Gupta meeting with teaching and Non-teaching staff on Monday
Nizamabad: Prof D Ravinder Gupta on Monday assumed charge as Vice-Chancellor of Telangana University with an assurance that he would strive to take the university to the top position in research.
University registrar Prof Naseen, teaching and non-teaching staff earlier gave a warm welcome to the new VC at the university administrative building.
Ravinder Gupta said that he was limited to the research sector and perform research at the national and international levels. His experience keep Telangana University at first place in the research sector and try to beat Osmania University in near future. He said that with his vast research experience he would try to invent discoveries and this Vice-chancellor post should very useful to him to encourage the research sector.
Prof Ravinder Gupta having 35 years of experience in the research sector and 30 years of experience in the teaching sector. He did M Phil in solid-state Physics, Ph D in Material science and obtain a doctorate from Osmania University. He also obtained the DST-JSPS Invitation fellowship, Boy’s cotton fellowship, Royal society visiting fellowship, Young scientist award, UGC career award, and other awards.
He completed the Department of Science and Technology project, UGC project, and TWAS (Italy) research projects, a total of seven research projects completed. Till now guided seven 12 research scholars for Ph D and they obtain a doctorate, now guiding another 8 scholars for Ph D. His 201 research articles were published in 201 International Journals.
