Hyderabad: Starring young actor Raj Bala and Solomon Judson in the lead, the upcoming suspense thriller titled ‘Ram Vs Ravan’ went on floors following a formal puja ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios on Thursday.
The movie has Mano Chitra and Ananya Mani as female leads, and it is directed by K Shukran. Director Maruthi, fight masters Ram-Laxman, along with producer ‘Sindhura Puvvu’ Krishna Reddy, attended the event as chief guests.
Director Shukran, who worked in the directorial department of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, said ‘Ram Vs Ravan’ is a story about two persons Ram and Ravan who wish to serve their people back in their village. How did they fight the problems plaguing their village while facing challenges from the external world is the premise. The film has all the elements of action and thrill, he added.
Actor Judson, who plays the character Ram, says the film has enough comedy and emotion to entertain the audiences. Raj Bala, who has done a dozen films so far in Telugu, finds the character Ravan thrilling. “I’ve played several lead roles as well as antagonist in many films. This character Ravan has a good scope to perform. I hope the film will be received well by Telugu audiences,” he added.
Actor-comedian Saptagiri is playing a key role in the film, which is being bankrolled under the banner Shana Productions.
