Ramagundam cops hand over 200 mobile phone to owners
In the commissionerate limits, 5280 complaints were registered in the portal so far. Of them, 1538 mobile phones were recovered and handed over to owners

Peddapalli: The Ramagundam commissionerate police handed over 200 mobile phone worth Rs.25.68 lakh to their owners in a cell phone recovery mela held at Godavarikhani on Wednesday.
CCS and IT cell teams under the aegis of CCS Inspector Kamalakar had recovered the mobile phones that were either stolen or lost. Commissioner of Police M Srinivas handed over the phones to the owners. Speaking on the occasion, CP explained about the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, which was being used to trace lost or stolen mobile phones.
In the commissionerate limits, 5280 complaints were registered in the portal so far. Of them, 1538 mobile phones were recovered and handed over to owners. Recently, both CCS and IT cell cops recovered another 200 mobile phones.
If anybody lost their mobile phones, they should block the mobile in the CEIR portal (https://www.ceir.gov.in) and inform the nearby police station, he added.
