Khammam: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s style of governance in Telangana has been damaging the reputation of the State, alleged the district BRS leaders.
The party district president, MLC, Tatha Madhusudhan and former MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah addressing the media conference here on Friday accused the Congress government of targetting the opposition leaders in the State.
They said the government was doing cheap politics over Dr. BR Ambedkar statue and not allowing the public to visit the place. When in the opposition Revanth Reddy claimed to be the questioning voice but after coming to power oppressing the opposition leaders, they noted.
BRS party leaders and workers were no strangers to police stations and cases. It was foolish to think that they were afraid of government threats. The Congress government was trying to rule the State with the police power.
The BRS would raise public issues in the Assembly’s winter session to be held from December 9. The way the police behaved with MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and former minister T Harish Rao surprised the public.
The BRS would defeat the conspiracies of the Revanth Reddy government to suppress the opposition leaders like never before in the country. It was not possible for the Congress to suppress the voices of the opposition leaders, Madhusudhan said.
The public abhorred the language used by Revanth Reddy being a Chief Minister. Revanth Reddy was responsible for the deplorable conditions in Gurukuls in the State. It was a shame that politics were being done even on the statue of Telangana Talli, alleged Venkata Veeraiah
The Telangana people were watching all the developments in the State under the Congress rule and would teach a fitting lesson to the party in the upcoming local body, he added. The party leaders K Koteswara Rao, K Nagabhushanam, Bellam Venugopal and P Nagaraju were present.
