Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy alleged that there were irregularities in the construction of Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial near Lumbini Park and demanded a high level probe into it.
The TPCC president and AICC spokesperson D Sravan visited the site of the Martyrs’ Memorial to check the status of construction on Saturday.
Addressing the mediapersons here on Saturday, Revanth Reddy alleged that the State government had escalated the cost of the Martyrs’ Memorial and assigned the works to a contractor from Andhra Pradesh.
Sravan alleged that the State government was neglecting the welfare of Telangana martyrs’ families. As against over 1,200 martyrs, a few benefits were extended to just 500 families, the AICC spokesperson alleged.
