Sangareddy: A rowdy-sheeter opened fire on a land owner at Jeedigadda Tanda in Zaheerabad Mandal on Monday.

According to Zaheerabad DSP Shankar Raju,  the land owner Kamal Kishore Palad, a native of Zaheerabad town, has 31 acres of land at Jeedgigadda. While Kamal Kishore was supervising the construction of a boundary around the land with the help of about 15 workers from the village, two persons Ali Akbar and Mohammad Ashraf, residents of Zaheerabad town, had an argument with Kamal Kishore saying that they were having a piece of land in the same place.

While they were seriously arguing with each other, Ali Akbar sought the help of rowdy-sheeter Mohammad Laiq who rushed to the place with his accomplices carrying a gun and sickles.
Laiq fired six rounds to threaten Kamal Kishore and his men. They ran to safety and called Chiragpally Police.

The police team led by Sub-inspector of Police, Ganesh have taken Ali Akbar and Ashraf into custody. The Police have recovered three used bullets at the crime scene. However, Liaq along with his accomplices fled from the scene in a Scorpio vehicle. The incident has created a sensation in Zaheerabad area.

Saying that a rowdy-sheeter was opened fire against Laiq in Zaheerabad rural Police Station in the past, the DSP said that Laiq was also involved in a murder case in 2018. Stating that they have constituted three teams to nab Laiq and his men, he said they will soon be arrested.
