Sangareddy Collector directs high-risk industry inspections after Sigachi incident

Sangareddy: Collector P Pravinya has directed officials from various departments and industry representatives to be fully equipped with modern equipment and technology to effectively handle accidents similar to the Sigachi incident.
Following a government order instructing Collectors to form special teams to inspect high-risk industries across the State, Collector Pravinya and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj held a review meeting at the Collectorate on Tuesday with officials from multiple departments and industrial bodies.
She emphasised the need for preparedness to handle industrial accidents and instructed officials to prioritise inspections of all high-risk industries, to be completed within two months. The Collector directed that safety protocols specific to each industry be communicated and data on employees, facilities, and wages be collected.
Pravinya advised industry managements to conduct workshops for employees on emergency response and to submit a self-certified safety checklist. SP Paritosh Pankaj instructed all industries to install CCTV cameras within their premises.
Deputy Inspector of Factories Gowri Shankar and other officials attended the meeting.
