Nalgonda: The vehicular traffic on National Highway-65 increased significantly on Sunday with people from Hyderabad going to their native places for Sankranti festival.

There was, however, no heavy queue of vehicles at toll plazas in Panthangi and Korlaphad on NH-65.

Vehicles going towards Vijayawada from Hyderabad side increased which caused traffic jam at Choutuppal where there is no bypass road for NH-65.

The authorities at the toll plazas expect traffic flow to increase later in the night and are making arrangements to avoid traffic jams at the toll plazas.
