PEDDAPALLI: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has announced a ‘monthly special incentive scheme’ to motivate the employees and achieve the target fixed for the current financial year 2024-25.

Though the company has fixed a target to produce 72.00 MT of coal in the financial year 2024-25, it achieved only 53. 73 MT as against 57.59 MT by January 2025. There is a shortfall of 3.86 MT against target production and still 18.27 MT has to be achieved in the balance period of the financial year 2024-25.

In order to achieve the targeted production of 72.00 MT, SCCL management has come up with an innovative idea and announced a special incentive scheme for a period of two-months to motivate employees and achieve the target.

It has been decided to operate the scheme based on attendance and achievement of monthly coal dispatch target (that is total admittance to CSP/CHP, washery and pit head delivery) during the balance two months period from February 1 to March 31.

The scheme is applicable to all national coal wage agreement (NCWA) employees working in coal producing in underground and opencast mines, CHPs/CSPs only.

Any type of leaves, training programmes, strikes, lock out, rests availed during the scheme period will not be reckoned as attendance.

Achievement of monthly coal dispatch targets of UG and OCP and CHP/CSP and each employee has to put in minimum attendance of 22 musters during the month.

Fixed lump sum incentive amount will be paid to eligible employees those who have put in 22 musters and above during the review month.
