Nirmal: Security was stepped up to prevent untoward incidents during Shobhayatra or procession of idols to be held in communally sensitive Bhainsa town on the occasion of Sriram Navami. Nirmal SP Dr G Janaki Sharmila convened a review meeting with police officers in Bhainsa on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Janaki said that security arrangements were made for smooth conduct of the procession in the town. She stated that every corner of the town had come under the blanket of security. A drone-based surveillance is being deployed for continuous patrolling to monitor trouble makers and prevent disturbance to law and order.
Janaki further said that a special action plan was devised for management of traffic on the routes of the procession to minimise inconvenience to the public. She urged the public to extend their cooperation to the police department in maintaining tranquility during the religious programme.
