Hyderabad: Rajasthan Royals’ bowling all-rounder Rahul Tewatia is growing in stature with each passing day, irrespective of his team’s fortunes in the Indian Premier League. After guiding his team to two victories with the bat, against Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Tewatia impressed everyone in their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday.
Though Royals lost the match with AB de Villiers changing the game in their favour with another unbeaten half-century, Tewatia grabbed eyeballs with a stunning catch in the match. He got hold of a tough chance when Virat Kohli smashed a ball to the boundary rope off Karthik Tyagi in the 14th over at the mid-wicket. He judged the catch to perfection and threw it up in the air after realising he was going over the rope. He then jumped back and completed the catch.
Taking to twitter, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag said that Tewatia can do anything on the field. He wrote, “Rahul Tewatia can do anything. If given an opportunity to invent the vaccine for Covid-19, the kind of time he is enjoying, he might be able to do it. What a season for him.
