Senior oncologist Dr Raghu Ram delivers lecture at annual ASGBI meet

Hyderabad: Senior oncologist and Director of KIMS – Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases Dr P Raghu Ram delivered the guest lecture on “Delivery of care in resource-limited setting” at the 100th annual congress of The Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI), being held on a virtual platform between May 4 and 8.
The breast cancer specialist, who was recently appointed OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11 in 2021 Honours list, was the only surgeon from Indian Subcontinent invited to deliver a guest lecture at the annual conference of ASGBI.
In his lecture, Dr. Raghu Ram highlighted the initiatives that he has taken up in the past 14-years to improve the delivery of breast healthcare in India by replicating the best of British practices. Over 1000 surgeons from all over UK and Ireland are participating in the four-day scientific meet, which is considered to be the largest congregation of surgical fraternity in the British Isles.
