Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Director General of Police M Mahendar Reddy inaugurated the Police Convention Centre built with a budget of Rs 10 crore in Siddipet town on Friday evening.
The Air-conditioned Convention centre was spread in 39,000 square feet which can house over 2,000 guests at a time. It will be rented to Police families at a cheaper rate to organise various functions. There was a banquet hall where small functions by hosting 100 to 150 guests. A gigantic 10,000 square feet area was allotted to the parking area.
The Convention centre was built by utilising funds available under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner of Police Joel Davis said that the earnings on the Convention Centre will be spent on its maintenance and on Police welfare.
