Sircilla cops launch ‘Khaki Kids’ to educate students on cybercrime, traffic rules
Cyber warriors to educate students about misuse of the internet, online frauds and cyber frauds by conducting awareness programmes in schools and colleges across the district

Rajanna-Sircilla: District police, who initiated several programmes for the safety of the public, have come up with another innovative ‘Khaki Kids’ to educate students about cybercrime and traffic rules.
In order to educate students about cybercrimes and traffic rules right from childhood, Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan designed the Khaki Kids programme.
Government Chief Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas launched it in the district police office in Sircilla on Saturday. Besides selecting cyber warriors in every police station limits, they would be given training in cybercrime and traffic rules.
Cyber warriors would educate students about misuse of the internet, online frauds and cyber frauds by conducting awareness programmes in schools and colleges across the district.
Later, students would educate their parents. MLA appreciated the district police for initiating various social service activities such as conducting sports competitions for youth, conducting medical camps, issuing driving licenses, installing CCTV cameras besides maintaining law and order.
Staying away from bad habits, students should reach higher positions in their lives by getting inspiration from SP Akhil Mahajan and Vemulawada ASP Sheshadrini Reddy, he advised.
SP said that they have designed the Khaki Kids programme since parents and people would definitely follow the words of their wards. Students studying in various schools and colleges would be educated about cybercrime and traffic rules in the next three months, he informed.
Advising the students to stay away from social media, SP said that people should not reveal their personal details on social media and stay away from digital arrests, investment fraud, OTP fraud, job advertisements, unknown video calls, olx and other frauds, he said.
