Six arrested for drug peddling, consuming in Hyderabad

Stolen material worth Rs 9.5 lakh was recovered from them

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Central Crime Station (CCS) police nabbed three thieves cum drug peddlers and three drug consumers at Rampally in Keesara on Wednesday. Stolen material worth Rs 9.5 lakh was recovered from them.

The arrested suspects are Ch Srikanth, a DJ operator from Suraram, Venu Kumar from Medchal and Sampath from Ghatkesar while the arrested consumers are Bharath, Mohd Abdul Raheem and Kalyan Kumar, all from Balanagar.

Police said Srikanth, Venu and Sampath who allegedly are addicted to drugs are also involved in thefts and drug peddling. They procured marijuana at a low rate and sold it to Bharath, Raheem and Kalyan regularly.

Based on a tip-off, they all were caught by the police at Rampally in possession of drugs.
