Six workers sustain burns in fly ash accident at Yadadri Thermal Power Plant

Hot fly ash landed on them while they were cleaning the machinery at the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant in Damaracharla

Nalgonda: Six workers were injured when hot fly ash landed on them while they were cleaning the machinery at Yadadri Thermal Power Plant in Damaracharla mandal on Friday. At least 20 workers were on the spot when the incident took place.

The injured workers were immediately rushed to Miryalaguda Government Hospital for treatment. They were all said to be out of danger.


The plant officials started an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. This was said to be the first accident of its kind.

As the workers voiced concerns over their safety at work, the plant management assured them that necessary measures would be initiated to prevent such incidents in the future.
