BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao hailed the commissioning of the fourth 800 MW unit of the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, describing it as a milestone in Telangana’s power sector. Rama Rao said the project reflects former CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s vision to end power shortages.
Releasing an 18-page charge sheet on the one year Congress rule at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, Harish Rao said the Congress government started its term with a negative attitude and controversial decisions like attempts to alter the State emblem, to cancel key projects such as Pharma City, and to impose restrictive measures on businesses in Hyderabad.
BHEL Chairman and Managing Director KS Murthy, accompanied by senior company officials, met with Rose to provide an update on the status of the YTPS plant.
The Chief Minister, who reached the project site by helicopter from Hyderabad, is accompanied by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and senior officials of the electricity department.
The project, likely to be commissioned in September next year, is one of the most ambitious steps initiated by CM KCR soon after the formation of the State
