Special electoral enrolment drive held in Hyderabad on November 6

Hyderabad: A special campaign pertaining to special summary revision of Electoral Rolls 2022 (Revision of voter list) was held on Saturday.

Under the exercise, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials enrolled new voters, accepted claims and objections at the polling Stations located in 15 Assembly segments in Hyderabad district. Requests for correction of entries such as address, surname, age, father’s name were the claims/ objections received. A similar campaign will be held on December 27 and 28.


Citizens in the 15 Assembly segments of Hyderabad district can check their names in the draft electoral rolls (draft voter list), that has been uploaded in https://ceotelangana.nic.in/ and approach the officials if there are any corrections that need to be made. Requests for new enrolments, claims and objections can also be made online by logging into https://www.nvsp.in/. After logging into the website, on the home page, the person will have to select the option ‘Forms’ by clicking on it. After that, for inclusion of names the option ‘Form 6’ should be selected and for correction of entries in the Electoral Rolls ‘Form 8’ should be selected.

An Indian citizen who has attained age of 18 years or more on January 1 (with reference to which the electoral roll is being revised) can apply for a voter card using Form 6 while the Form 8 should be filed only by a person whose name is already included in the electoral roll seeking correction to the particulars already printed in the electoral roll. For enroling the name into the voter list and making to make changes, exclusive options on the left side of https://www.nvsp.in/ home page are also available. Meanwhile, the application status can also be tracked by entering the reference id.
