Siddipet: Primary school students of Thunki Khalsa village in Wargal mandal organised an agriculture expo that highlighted the importance of practising sustainable farming rather than depending on corporate companies for seeds, fertilisers, pesticides and other inputs.
Chairman of Telangana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Association M Kodanda Reddy attended as the chief guest. Students, dressed in farmers’ attire, displayed various traditional seeds and agricultural implements at the exhibition.
They also explained the need to preserve and maintain seed varieties at home instead of depending on company-supplied seeds, which they felt is making agriculture a burden.
