‘Taare Zameen Par’ brings colours to Children’s Day in Secunderabad
Area 9 of Round Table India and Ladies Circle India celebrated Children’s Day by organising ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ a painting competition for differently-abled children at Swayamkrushi NGO in Secunderabad. Around 300 children participated locally, while the event was simultaneously held across 200 cities, engaging over 10,000 special children.

Hyderabad: Celebrating Children’s Day with festivity and colours, Area 9 of Round Table India, an Indian arm of an international organization, and Ladies Circle India organised ‘Taare Zameen Par’, a painting competition for differently-abled children at Swayamkrushi, an NGO at Yapral in Secunderabad. Around 300 children participated in the event.
B. Lokeshwar Reddy, Area Secretary and Treasurer and Deepa Sharma of Ladies Circle, said the competition was simultaneously organised by Round Table India, across 200 cities, and more than 10,000 special children participated.
In Telugu states, it was organised in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Secunderabad, and nearly 1200 kids participated.
The participating kids were given free rein to paint on a topic—What Comes To My Mind and given one hour to paint. They completed the painting with one assistant and proved that if given a chance, they could be good artists.
