Hyderabad: GSM’s Nagupalli Bhaavitha, SPHS’ Jatin Dev emerged champions in the under-19 girls and boys categories respectively in the Late Sri Loknath Samal 8th Telangana Stag Inter-district and State Table Tennis Championship at Somnath Ghosh MLR-UTT Academy on Saturday.
In the Super League on the final day, top seed Bhaavitha emerged champion by winning all her seven matches.
In contrast, Jatin Dev suffered a lone loss to take the top honours. AWA’s A Dhanush took the second place. Later, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT, Government of Telangana gave away prizes to the winners.
Meanwhile, AWA’s Akshay and GSM’s A Satya won titles in the under-13 boys and girls categories at the Anandnagar Welfare Association.
Top five in Super League:
U-19 Boys: Jatin Dev (SPHS), Dhanush (AWA), Keshavan Kannan (SG-MLR), Trishul Mehra (LBS) and Anoop Amara (AWA);
Girls: N.Bhaavitha (GSM), HS Nikhita (VPG), P.Mercy (HVS), J.Gouri (SG-MLR) and Kavya (AWA).
U-13 Boys: Akshay (AWA), M Devansh Singh (SPHS), Jaffer Hussain (LBS), Sree Anish (SPHS) and M Karthik Teja (AVSC).
Girls: A. Satya (GSM), Pragyansha Patra (VPG), P Jalani (VPG), B. Sri Vidya (GSM) and S Aniyah Anand (VPG).
